EPS, bajo administración temporal del organismo, se suman a los esfuerzos en el cuidado de la salud de la población con campañas, entrega de tapas elastizadas y folletos informativos
Con el fin de promover la adopción de medidas que contribuyan a prevenir y evitar la propagación del dengue, el Organismo Técnico de la Administración de los Servicios de Saneamiento (OTASS) brinda importantes recomendaciones para eliminar la presencia del zancudo trasmisor que origina el avance de la enfermedad.
En ese contexto, la población debe poner en práctica los siguientes consejos:
- Cada vez que recibas agua por cisterna que utilizas para tu consumo asegúrate de proteger o tapar, con mallas o tapas elastizadas, los barriles, tanques, contenedores o recipientes.
- Lava los recipientes con esponja, cepillo y jabón para eliminar los huevos que puedan estar adheridos a las paredes de los recipientes que almacenan el agua potable
- Identifica y elimina cualquier depósito en los que pueda acumularse agua como neumáticos viejos, latas, canaletas de los techos, etc., ya que el zancudo se reproduce en agua limpia estancada. ¡Sin criaderos, no hay zancudos ¡
- Cambia diariamente el agua de los floreros y los bebederos de tu mascota.
- Comparte con tus vecinos y comunidad sobre las medidas preventivas contra el dengue y la importancia de eliminar los criaderos.
- Fomenta la limpieza y el mantenimiento regular en áreas comunes para evitar la propagación del dengue.
- Si presentas síntomas acude al establecimiento de salud más cercano a tu domicilio.
Esfuerzos de las EPS en RAT
Las EPS bajo administración temporal del Otass también se suman al cuidado de la salud de la población. Semapach implementa con éxito la campaña “Hazle el pare al dengue” y, junto al personal del Hospital San José, recorre asentamientos humanos de Chincha repartiendo folletos de prevención y entregando tapas elastizadas para proteger los contenedores que almacenan el agua para las familias y así evitar la proliferación de los zancudos.
Otra empresa que se suma a esta campaña es Emapica, que brinda charlas informativas con la participación del personal administrativo y operario, en tanto, el personal de Emapacop, la EPS de Pucallpa, realizó una limpieza y recojo de chatarrería de la planta de tratamiento de agua potable de la empresa como una medida para prevenir el dengue. También difunden mensajes preventivos en redes sociales, al igual que Emapisco, que distribuye, entre sus usuarios, un díptico denominado “El dengue mata, cuida tu salud”.
El OTASS, brazo técnico ejecutor del Ministerio de Vivienda, administra temporalmente a 18 empresas prestadoras, a través del Régimen de Apoyo Transitorio (RAT), brindándoles asistencia técnica y financiera con la finalidad de reflotarlas.
